Our friends, artists & project partners
Here you’ll find only tiny parts of the amazing story connecting past and future, east and west, creativity and science, bringing engineers, designers, and artists together – creating the remarkable.
Dive into the amazing world of high technology, design & art!
Chapter One: Experimental
Luminescence - sustainable design expressing beauty by its very essence
Design, innovation, and technology connected. IXISM was established by a like-minded group of individuals on a relation Los Angeles – Shenzen – Hong Kong.
The Luminescence project by IXISM aimed to understand beauty at its very essence by adopting innovative design methods in manufacturing with no environmental footprint. Igor, our co-founder, was the project’s creative director.
Luminescence lamps embody art and technology. For example, Clothoid-A Lamp (1st photo) is created by a mathematical curve formula digitally and exported for 3D printing. The resulting form is parametric and adjustable in an almost infinite number of positions.
Bloom Table Lamp (2nd photo) pays homage to nature and its rhythms. Its intriguing form is a result of rigorous exploration in using a modern manufacturing method laser-cutting and minimizing the material waste to create an elegant yet functional form.
You can take look at the whole Luminescence catalog here.
Chapter Two: Production
Photo or video, studio or nature, lifestyle, editorial, product, high-end, premium, commercial… it doesn’t matter because they can do it all.
A creative mind can move mountains. Being creative isn’t about having a thought process, being creative is about breaking the pattern to view things differently. Fundamento strives to be different, to be original, to be one of a kind.
These two guys will always find a way to make it work, to make you fall in love with the produced video and photography. Fundamento is the official SplitX MAD production partner. Together we move mountains.
Chapter Three: Movies
Our co-founder's work on movie production
From concepts to digitally made props and sets. From imagination, brought to the screen, to life. Igor’s work on movie production ranges from art direction, concept art, and design to illustrations, set design, and visual effects.
Over the years, he worked for many studios including Netflix, Warner Brothers, Universal, Sony, and Paramount Pictures. You can see some of the titles such as Star Trek: Picard in the images below, or just visit Igor’s IMDb page.
Chapter Four: Design
Beyond visual identity
Meet Duje Stojak, our branding & visual identity doctor. Over the past few years, he’s been working with brands such as Renowned LA, Chris Brown, Cardi B., I Used to Dream, Atlantic Records, WWF. His work was featured in the likes of Forbes and many other world-renowned press outlets.
Duje is the mind behind SplitX’s visual identity. In his own words:
“Entire SplitX identity comes from the exploration of the 2D figures that are understood as 3D objects that can’t exist in solid-state. It’s the optical illusion that is challenging the way we perceive what is possible/impossible, all that by “cheating” architecture and giving it the sense of extended reality.
In the future, the logo will be used in different environments as a canvas that will help us visualize the idea of a 4th dimension. Inspired by the is impossible.”
Chapter Five: Fashion
Fashion meets technology
FashionTech is an emerging combination of fashion, engineering, science, and UI/UX design. Anouk Wipprecht combines the latest in science and technology to make fashion an experience that transcends mere appearances.
She creates technological couture; with systems around the body that tend towards artificial intelligence; projected as ‘host’ systems on the human body, her designs move, breath, and react to the environment around them.
Partnering up with companies such as INTEL, Autodesk, Google, Microsoft, AUDI, Swarovski, and Materialise amongst others – she researches and develops how our future wardrobe would look as we continue to embed technology into what we wear.
Anouk frequently collaborates with SplitX Creative Director Igor Knezevic, who applies his expert-level knowledge of 3D CG, generative design, and digital manufacturing technologies, such as 3D printing and CNC machining. This collaboration is advancing and augmenting her amazing concepts so they become real physical and functional objects.
